Started in 1992 our membership is drawn from, though not limited to, the Gravesham and Medway areas.
We paint for fun and work with a whole variety of mediums, in many different styles. Our members cover a wide spectrum of experience and ability which is fine because we are not a competitive group – on the contrary we are a very friendly and sociable crowd!
We have a yearly Open Day in November and occasional workshops but we do not undertake formal tuition, so having a little art experience is handy if you want to become a member of the group. Having said that, we do have some experienced artists who are happy to help and advise the less experienced.
We meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 7pm until 9pm and the fourth Saturday from 10am until 3pm. The cost is £25.00 every 4 months. When we have a tutor booked for a workshop there is an additional charge for those attending on the day.
We meet at Chalk Parish Hall, Pirrip Close, Chalk, Kent, DA12 2ND.
Hi Susan, I loved all the group’s paintings of the goldfinch from the tutorial by David Hyde. They are really great, a very talented bunch of people. It almost but not quite makes me want to try the medium of acrylic paints again. It was a disaster last time!.
I only hope my meagre daubs can be improved to match all the other talents.
