Many of our members belong to the SAA (Society of All Artists) and will know about the ‘Paint a Poppy Challenge’.
The finishing date has been extended to the end of December 2018, so you still have a few weeks in which to paint a poppy, donate to the Royal British Legion and send your painting/s in for their exhibition.
The paintings have to be 12.5cm square but any medium can be used to paint a poppy, an illustrated poem, a landscape or any design, but it must have at least one poppy in.
Tracy Q-P has painted 4 poppy pictures and has sent them to the SAA. Three of the paintings are in watercolour and one is a collage using a National Geographic magazine article about hostilities in WW1.
Has anyone else painted any poppies for the challenge?
I’ve done a couple as well, but haven’t sent them off yet, so pleased to know I have more time!

The finishing date was the end of September so I panicked at the beginning of October. Then I found the entry form with the extended date…phew!
