Painting at Chalk Church August 2015

Welcome back to our second visit to the beautiful scene that is Chalk Church and it’s pretty ‘Monet’ style garden area.

The weather was hot (in the 30’s) so we were grateful for the shade provided by the trees.

A good number of us came along to paint and we collected a total of £75 for the two visits this summer which we donated to the church.

A few of us worked on current projects, some of which are here. You can see what a marvellous day we had, surely there’s nothing better than spending the day in good company with glorious weather doing the thing we all love…..painting.IMG_1564 IMG_1562 IMG_1557 IMG_1554 IMG_1573 IMG_1556 IMG_1561 IMG_1567 IMG_1571 IMG_1560 IMG_1569 IMG_1555 IMG_1574 IMG_1550 IMG_1548 IMG_1551 IMG_1575 IMG_1577 IMG_1563 IMG_1578 IMG_1580

  1. It really was a wonderful day to be outside and painting. Those few hours flew by and it made a change to need to sit in the shade because of hot, sunny weather, instead of snuggled inside a cozy fleece!
The pond and bridge looked very smart this year and although I didn’t paint them, I enjoyed being there and continuing with my Aboriginal handprint paintings.
