Animals

Thank you to Tracy for arranging the hire of the animal exhibits which were supplied by Mr Cave of Medway Taxidermy.  The animals looked superb and their natural presentation and beautiful colours made them wonderful subject matter. None of the animals were killed by hunters, this is a golden rule of the taxidermy supplier.

Some artists brought along their own subject to paint. All mediums were used including acrylic, watercolour and pastel.

There was a wide range of subjects to choose from and as you can see, they were brilliantly interpreted by our artists.

  2. There’s a really good variety of paintings here…well done everybody!
Mr Cave at Medway Taxidermy is a fascinating chap and so informative about what he does. Taxidermy may not be to everyone’s liking…but I found it amazing to see the animals so close up and to admire the pheasants, owl and jay’s multicoloured plumage.
