NOVEMBER

Wednesday 12th 7-9pm The Great War

Yesterday was Armistice Day and one hundred years on from the start of what we now call the First World War, we still remember those who died and those who fought and survived. Use poems written at this time, photographs or newsreel images, to create a painting.
Have you been to see the ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ poppy installation at The Tower of London? See http://www.poppies.hrp.org.uk for more information. Also fascinating are images from the First World War galleries at The Imperial War Museum….. search http://www.iwm.org.uk for lots of ideas.
